About Second Curve Coaching

Our Story

Second Curve Coaching was founded in 2023 by a dedicated Board of Directors united around a compelling vision: to help skilled professionals reach their fullest potential by transferring their expertise to those who need it most.

Kent, our founder and CEO, has walked alongside Christian leaders across multiple countries and witnessed firsthand the hunger for growth among those with no access to training or development. Moved by their untapped potential, he pursued a Ph.D. in General Psychology with an emphasis in Performance Psychology from Grand Canyon University, completing the degree in July 2025. Beyond its academic value, the doctorate serves a strategic purpose: opening doors to countries that might otherwise remain closed to ministry workers. We officially launched on September 6, 2025, equipped to serve organizations seeking excellence and individuals pursuing transformational impact.

What We Do

We operate on two distinct tracks:

For Organizations We provide professional training and coaching to businesses, nonprofits, schools, and churches. Our services include:

  • Board of directors development
  • Executive leadership coaching (C-suite)
  • Staff training and development
  • Trauma-informed practice implementation

Our team brings advanced qualifications and real-world experience to help leaders and organizations thrive.

For Individuals We equip committed followers of Jesus to share their knowledge, skills, and wisdom—at no cost—with Christian leaders experiencing extreme poverty. This is where our mission becomes deeply personal.

We believe your fullest potential isn’t just about personal success—it’s about becoming a conduit for others. As Nehemiah 8:10 instructs us to “send portions to those for whom nothing is prepared,” we connect high-capacity believers with high-potential leaders who desperately long to grow but have limited access to development opportunities.

Why This Matters

During an overseas training session, we asked pastors, “What is the most challenging part of ministry?”

Their answer stopped us: “Having no food for our families.”

This is the reality for many Christian leaders serving in extreme poverty. In one country, we support the widows and families of four pastors martyred for their faith. These beloved brothers and sisters lead with extraordinary courage despite overwhelming challenges.

They don’t need pity—they need partnership. They don’t lack calling or commitment—they lack access to the skills, knowledge, and resources that many of us take for granted.

Our Approach

Second Curve Coaching is an Arizona nonprofit organization with IRS tax-exempt status. We operate as an all-volunteer organization:

  • No paid salaries
  • No property ownership
  • No overhead costs that divert resources from our mission

We serve quietly and discreetly, prioritizing the dignity and voice of those we serve. Every dollar donated and every hour volunteered goes directly toward empowering leaders and transforming lives.

Our Commitment

We’re not here to create dependency—we’re here to unlock potential. We believe in:

  • Dignity – Honoring the strength and wisdom of those we serve
  • Partnership – Learning from and with our global brothers and sisters
  • Sustainability – Transferring knowledge that multiplies far beyond our reach
  • Excellence – Bringing professional-level training to those who’ve been overlooked
